Our artist of the week for 15th June 2015 is Jamie Heawood.  We really enjoyed his percussive guitar playing, coupled with melodic cello lines weaving in and out of nice vocal melodies and well chosen lyrics.  Ben Howard meets Jake Bugg in a restaurant owned by Damien Rice?!

Debut music video for new single ‘I Will Wait’:

Winning top place in regional competitions Yorkshire Unplugged (Apr 2014) and Acoustic Idol (Dec 2013), nominated for ‘Best Unsigned Act’ in Exposed Magazine’s Exposed Awards 2015 .  With a brand new full band performance, Jamie has big plans set for this year, including the release of his debut EP ‘Take The World Away’ on Sunday 15th February. Jamie’s sound has been described as a unique and exciting turn on modern acoustic music; a beautifully crafted blend of rich and original vocal tones, deep and intelligent lyrics and artistically structured guitar work.
