Artist of The Week is Vogues
Our Artist of the Week is Vogues.
Cornwall-born, London-based, queer, non-binary artist, Vogues, creates cinematic, emotionally rich music that blends distorted demos, nylon-string guitar, vintage keyboards and raw voice memos into a world entirely their own.
Their debut album, ‘Tender Mercies’, moves between euphoric, sad-dance tracks and intimate acoustic ballads, exploring queer identity, longing and transformation through a scrapbook-like approach to songwriting.
A standout track, ‘Kintsugi’, takes inspiration from the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer, transforming heartbreak and frustration into something vibrant, uplifting and beautiful.
