Our Artist of the Week is Hannah Hu.
Hannah Hu‘s debut EP arrives wrapped in vintage glamour with something far darker lurking beneath. Drawing from the dramatic storytelling of classic girl groups and torch singers, she fuses timeless melodies with sharp contemporary songwriting – nostalgic in feel, strikingly fresh in execution.
The title track, ‘The Veil Has Spoken’, is the EP’s centrepiece: a tender wedding-day recollection that slowly curdles into a chilling tale of betrayal and revenge. Produced by Dean Honer, it balances shimmering retro-pop with cinematic unease, dreamlike yet deeply unsettling.

No stranger to the spotlight – she has opened for Richard Hawley, toured Europe with I Monster, and lent her voice to albums by The Specials and Nouvelle Vague – Hannah Hu has long suggested she was capable of something special. ‘The Veil Has Spoken’confirms it.
