Our Artist of the week is Valentina.
Following her 2023 EP ‘All Are Lost’, Valentina is back with ‘Hands,’ released on August 29th. Known for her haunting vocals and vivid songwriting, Valentina offers a raw and pinpoint reflection on her feelings in this moving personal track.
Originally written five years ago during a challenging period, ‘Hands’ was rediscovered in Valentina’s vault of unreleased music. Produced by close friend Tev’n, the song reflects the emotional turmoil of losing one’s sense of self. Lyrics like “I can’t see my hands in the dark” convey a profound sense of isolation and disorientation.

Valentina, described by The Guardian as a ‘secret weapon in the world of indie electronica’, has collaborated with UK heavyweights like Kano and Hot Chip, and co-wrote on Kanye West’s album ‘VULTURES 1’. Her solo work, including the EPs ‘Wolves’ and ‘All Are Lost’, showcases her unique blend of dreamy dark pop.
