Our Artist of The Week is The Ben Drake Collective!
‘Christmas Time’ is the new single from The Ben Drake Collective. Written for The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust, Ben wanted to try to capture the spirit of Christmas – to be thankful for our loved ones, who are there for us in times of need. A ‘thank you’ of sorts to anyone who looks after those in need, much like his mum did for his dad while he was ill. Speaking about his father, Ben quotes: “I know how grateful my father was to have his wife by his side in his final years.”

A beautifully written song with lyrics that so many can relate to. Christmas is a time of so many mixed emotions and Ben has captured this side of it from such a gentle and caring perspective.
A note from Ben on being an ambassador for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust (PFT):
After losing his dad to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in late 2020 Ben wanted to do something in his father’s memory. After learning about the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust and seeing all the valuable work they do to help those dealing with PF, Ben was honoured to be asked to become an ambassador for the trust to help raise awareness of the disease.
