Our Artist Of The Week is SupaLung!
SupaLung is a new indie-rock outfit composed of singer-songwriter, Sam Brookes, and multi-instrumentalist producer, Pete Josef. The duo met some years back on the burgeoning Bristol music scene: being fans of each other’s work they ended up becoming great friends. Brookes was actually helping Josef build a studio at his home when they decided it was time to combine their love for songs and making records.

‘Pleasure’ is their debut single. The song is an ode to creativity – how it unlocks new worlds within you and enriches your life. It explores the tensions felt as an artist, having to find (and re-find) that spark each day, while managing expectations and the ever-growing pressures to pay rent and build a career.
In Sam’s own words: “My creativity has been vital. It saved my life, saved my head from turning on itself, helped me find new ways to understand myself, the world, and people around me.”
