Artist Of The Week is LOVEBREAKERS
Our Artist Of The Week is LOVEBREAKERS
LOVEBREAKERS, formed in Birmingham, are Jack, Christian, Chino and Nathan! They first exploded onto the music scene in 2018 with their debut EP generating a tonne of fantastic reviews, as well as their cover of The Who’s ‘Baba O’Riley’, which was hand-picked by Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day) for his ‘Oakland Coffee’ Spotify playlist. Fast forward to 2019 and LOVEBREAKERS flew out to Los Angeles to record their debut album at Hurley Studios in Costa Mesa with Davey Warsop as producer/engineer.
These guys ooze confidence and swagger, with songwriting you’d associate with a band with a lot more under its belt. Previous singles have all had radio support from BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders), BBC Radio 6 (Steve Lamacq), Radio X (John Kennedy) and Sirius XM (Rodney Bingenheimer/Kelly Ogden).
Listen to their latest single ‘Spark’, here:
‘Spark’ is big, brash & anthemic. Think Green Day meets Oasis, but with great nuance & energy. The affected vocal cuts through and immediately grabs your attention, ready to hear those big guitar licks, super catchy hooks & bruising brass throughout.
In recent times, LOVEBREAKERS have toured with SoCal legends Social Distortion across the UK and Europe, after being hand-picked by Mike Ness himself. They will soon be releasing a highly anticipated second album, supported by live shows across the UK and worldwide.
