Artist of The Week is Isolated Youth
Our Artist of the Week is Isolated Youth.
As the release of their highly anticipated debut album ‘Miserere Mei’ draws closer, Isolated Youth offer a striking preview with the album’s bold title track. Under the mentorship and production guidance of The Horrors’ Faris Badwan, the gothic post-punk quartet continue their ascent with a sound that is both raw and atmospheric.
‘Miserere Mei‘ is a feverish collision of jagged guitars, driving basslines, and the icy, haunting vocals of Axel Mårdberg. Inspired by Nina Simone’s ‘Sinnerman’ and Arvo Pärt’s ‘Miserere’, the track translates these influences into a visceral soundscape, exploring themes of guilt, spirituality, and personal transformation.

Under Faris Badwan’s mentorship, Isolated Youth’s ‘Miserere Mei’ fuses post-punk urgency with raw vulnerability. Co-producer Max Hayes (Primal Scream, Rolling Stones) hails it as “a real rock album”, distilling their electrifying live presence into the studio.
