Artist of The Week is AFTERDRIVE
Our Artist of the Week is AFTERDRIVE.
Ipswich indie-rock band AFTERDRIVE is back with their latest single, ‘Cars‘. The track has already gained attention on BBC Radio 1, continuing the band’s rapid rise through the UK indie scene.
AFTERDRIVE first made a splash in early 2023 with their debut single ‘Stick Around’, which was named BBC Introducing Suffolk & Norfolk’s Track of the Week. This was followed by ’99’ in May 2023 and ‘Bad Vibes’ in September, the latter of which earned the band nominations at the NMG Awards and a 2024 festival appearance.

Their March 2024 single ‘Often’, recorded at Decoy Studios and mastered at Abbey Road, marked their debut on national radio, with spins on BBC Radio 1 and Radio X. In June, they released ‘Gold Dust’, keeping the momentum going.
With ‘Cars‘, AFTERDRIVE returns to the spotlight, proving their sound is only getting sharper. Recent festival performances, including Smile Festival and LeeStock, have shown the band’s growing live presence. As they continue to build on their early success, AFTERDRIVE is positioning themselves as a band to watch.
