Artist of the week is Alderline
Our Artist of the Week is Alderline.
There’s something refreshing about a band that don’t try to polish the cracks out of their music. Originating from northern England, Alderline lean fully into the rough edges – soulful vocals that sound weathered rather than perfected, guitars that linger instead of shout, and a rhythm section that carries the weight of every lyric.
Their debut single, ‘Bones’, was the first song they wrote together, and, honestly, it’s hard to imagine a better introduction. Recorded live in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, the track captures that rare chemistry bands spend years chasing – raw, instinctive, and completely unforced.

At a time when so much indie music feels overly curated, Alderline sounds human. A seriously promising first release from a band that already seem to know exactly who they are.
