Our Artist of the Week is gianna.
This week’s AOTW goes to gianna and her new single ‘Shadow Of A Bird’.There’s something understated about the way she does things. Nothing feels forced or over-sung – it’s controlled, thoughtful, and confident in a quiet way.
‘Shadow Of A Bird’ plays on that tension between fear and reality, taking a small, almost throwaway moment and turning it into something reflective and honest. It’s the kind of idea that could be overlooked, but she leans into it.

Sonically, you can hear those late ‘90s / early ‘00s influences creeping in, but it never feels like throwback for the sake of it. The production has space, her voice sits beautifully in it, and the whole thing just feels intentional.
With her debut EP Behind The Wings landing on March 20th, gianna feels like an artist building something real. ‘Shadow Of A Bird’ is subtle, but it lingers – and that’s exactly why it’s this week’s AOTW.
