Laptop’s reboot rolls on as father-son duo Jesse and Charlie Hartman release their third single, ‘I Don’t Know’, ahead of the 2026 album On This Planet.
Born from a four-year-old Charlie gleefully sabotaging his first standardized test, the track blends childlike defiance with protest-song bite, shrugging through the chorus: “I don’t know, I’m just a kid, thinking about silly stuff.”

Tracked between Spain, Nevis, and New York, it features Anna Hadeed, Jesse’s daughter Lulu, and actor Santo Fazio on harmonica. The surreal video reimagines a classroom as an absurdist fever dream of toy harmonicas, green-screen detours, and deadpan rebellion.
Following the viral ‘Weirder’ (4M+ views) and ‘Additional Animals’ (2M+), ‘I Don’t Know’ cements Laptop’s return as playful, strange, and timely as ever.
