Zara Kershaw
Singer songwriter Zara Kershaw produces electro-dysfunctional pop in her Brighton home-studio by the sea.
Employing a mix of grit and soul, Kershaw has drawn comparisons to the likes of Lorde, Lana Del Rey and Gnarls Barkley and is sparking an interest in the alternative pop industry.
Zara’s most recent collaboration with Hospital Records producer Etherwood on the summer single ‘Souvenirs’ shot straight to #9 on the iTunes Electronic Chart in June 2015 and had it’s exclusive debut on Annie Mac’s show on BBC Radio 1.
‘Souvenirs’ is still a favourite amongst other radio DJs and is currently receiving countless plays from BBC Radio 1 & 1 Xtra, KISS FM and XFM.
Once graduating from the BRIT School aged 18, Kershaw set out to work on a cruise ship as a performing musician but quit after just 2 weeks to pursue her own music career.
Kershaw is now onto her third body of work, after releasing her previous 5-track EP ‘The Cage and the Free’.
Amongst today’s saturated pop-culture, Zara Kershaw delivers refreshing pop music at its most explorative; effortlessly balancing both the familiar and the alternative.
