Owen Denvir
“Complex and affecting songwriting…this Northern star is rising fast”
– Hot Press Magazine
Owen Denvir is a Belfast-born singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, whose “complex and affecting songwriting” draws from a wide variety of acoustic contemporary influences, from Damien Rice to Ryan Adams.
Denvir’s debut EP “Daydreamer” (released October 2015) has achieved critical acclaim, capturing airplay on stations from as far as New York and the Netherlands. His live set employs the use of viola, guitar and piano to create an audio visual spectacle; a formula which began life at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in 2013 (after many years of experience away from the spotlight as a recording and session musician). He has since built the confidence and following to road-test his music at festivals all around the UK, and supporting esteemed international artists such as Koji and Aoife O’Donovan.
