Nothing About ME

Singer/Songwriter Sarah Stanton and Producer/Songwriter Joe Dworniak have been writing together for the past 4 years out of Riverfish Studio in Penzance, Cornwall. They first met back in the 1990’s when Sarah hired Joe’s recording studio in London to record tracks for a solo album project she was working on.

Sarah and Joe formed Nothing About ME in 2016. Together their trip-hop /downtempo sound is both melodically & sonically rich. Their minimal approach allows for space in the pauses, creating an atmospheric and experimental style.

As a songwriter, Sarah is a climber of personal mountains and a singer with an emotive voice that reaches into the soul. She is inspired by Sly and the Family Stone, Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell, Prince, Terry Reid, David Bowie and Iggy Pop.

Underpinning the Nothing About ME sound is Joe’s intuitive arrangements and ability as a multi-instrumentalist and journeyman producer/engineer. He is inspired by Curtis Mayfield, The Gladiators, Weather Report, Pat Metheny, Kraftwerk, and Jaco Pastorius.
