Matthew Gordon Price

Matthew Gordon Price is an alternative folk musician who provides an emotional narrative to which many can relate. His sound has been compared to artists such as Damien Rice, Marcus Mumford and Glenn Hansard.

His debut E.P ‘The Bird & The Tree’, which was released on January 31st 2016 and reached the top 100 on the ‘Amazon Download Popular Chart’.

2016-2017 was a life changing period for Matthew, as he supported the likes of: Beardyman; Sound Of The Sirens; Meadowlark; Seth Lakeman; Phat Bollard; Antimatador and found himself on the same line-up as Craig David and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. Matthew also performed a BBC Introducing ‘Live In Session’ (Devon) and found himself on festival line ups including Glas-Denbury (BBC Introducing Stage) and Looe Music Festival.

The future looks promising for Matthew, with his unconditional love for music, accumulating tour dates, new releases and the addition of his backing band, which includes an array of talented musicians including: Dan Johnson (Drums); Toby Gisborne (Bass); Eva Axelby (Violin); Aimee Dorel (Keys) and Jamie Yost (Lead Guitar).
