iAlpha
Welcome to our page!
We are iAlpha: a four-piece band based in North Essex. We write, record and produce all of our own music.
We hope to have some tracks available on iTunes in the near future. However, you can listen to other iAlpha tracks (as well as keep up-to-date with our progress) through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, SoundCloud and Reverbnation.

Should you be interested, the meaning behind our band name is two-fold:
Firstly, it is derived from the phrase: ‘I am the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end’, which appears in the book of Revelation (22:13) – this simply denotes perpetuation.
Secondly, and (as far as we’re concerned) more significantly, the lower case ‘i’ directly before a subsequent uppercase character could be considered somewhat emblematic. For instance, over time the QWERTY keyboard has arguably become more than merely an inanimate object and, instead, it could perhaps be thought of as a symbol of technological progression in the digital age. By extension, it could therefore be regarded as a definitive symbol of those who have lived in and been shaped by that age. We have appropriated and re-applied this very same idea, as we feel that the lower case ‘i’ (rather than the QWERTY keyboard) provides a more apt characterisation of our formative years.
