Caitlin Stubbs is a singer/songwriter from Brighton. She began gigging in Brighton at the age of 14 after somebody spotted her playing one of her songs in a school concert. At this point, her repertoire was not substantial enough to fill even a half hour set, so she arrived on the day to play 3 songs on her unnecessarily large keyboard and gained her first few fans.
Caitlin’s main inspiration is her grandfather, the late poet, Adrian Mitchell who taught her that the job of a writer/performer is to spread love, happiness and thoughts over the human race. Caitlin’s music has been described as “hypnotic storytelling”.
She has been compared to Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Laura Marling and Tori Amos.
