Aaron Douglas
Aaron Douglas is more than just “a guy with a guitar”. After cutting his teeth in Devon & Cornwall playing guitar & bass for Cosmo Jarvis, the (now Bristol based) singer-songwriters’ blend of different genres, story telling, looping and honest & passionate lyrics has allowed him to carve out a name of his own. In the two years he’s been solo he’s played at the Eden Sessions, Glastonbury Festival, featured in the Jan 2013 issue of Acoustic magazine, secured endorsements with companies such as Elixir, Lakewood guitars, & Logarhythm stompers. All this and earning support slots with Plan B, Ruarri Joseph, James Bay, Ben Ottewell (Gomez), Ryan Keen, Gavin James, Brother & Bones and many more. His latest achievements include reaching number 6 in the iTunes Singer Songwriter chart with his debut single “Shipwrecks” earlier this year and having the title track from his latest EP “Battles” played on BBC6 music.
“Aaron Douglas has clearly acquired some serious songwriting chops. His velvet vocals and cliche-free lyrics are freshminted as if they sprang fully formed straight from the Douglas heart.” – Tom Robinson (BBC6 Music)
“Aaron Douglas is a great singer, a great writer and an all round mega talent… don’t miss seeing him while you can- we don’t think you’ll get this sort of opportunity for much longer- the lad’s a star.” – Howard Bragen (Logarhythm)
Great vocals, excellent production and strong heartfelt lyrics – (David Durant – Under The Radar Live Sessions on Brooklands Radio)
