Artist Of The Week is Merrym’n aka Bob Moston. A DIY Stoke-folk troubadour from the dirty dishwaters of the potteries, canals, railways, garden festivals. (his words). The niche quirks of mundane life are captured in home made pop songs from the heart of this lovely fellow.
Check out his latest album ‘More From Merrym’n’ here:
You don’t get more homely and beautifully raw than Merrym’n. You can most certainly hear some inspiration from the Liverpool legends, The Beatles. If you’re from Stoke-On-Trent, or know someone in the area, Bob Moston is for sure one to check out.

Dude Safari, our next Artist Of The Week bring you Gunge Pop vibez of the best kind! After the worst year ever, Dude Safari might have arrived just in time.
After drunkenly coming up with the band name at a festival in 2013, lead singer and guitarist Jamie Tipson mentioned it to long time friend and rhythm guitarist Ben Burroughes and the idea was conceived. After sitting on the name and idea for almost 7 years and being in several different musical projects, Jamie and Ben finally decided after a miserable 2020 that the time was right to pull the trigger. Pulling in long time band member, friend and all round bass monster Fred Higley was the final piece of the jigsaw and the Safari was born.
Listen to their latest single ‘Maybe It’s a UFO’ here:
Dude Safari is a blend of everything this trio love; powerful grunge pop with catchy melodies and a sense of humour. Their journey began early 2021 as they started to release music that they had recorded remotely from their own houses. Currently they have a handful of tracks available on all streaming services, and they have already had support from Spotify editorial playlists and BBC Introducing in the South.

Listen to their latest single ‘Dreams of You’ here:
Full bodied, anthemic Alt-rock soaked with hard rock riffs and modern melodies. The quartet are no strangers to the industry, cutting their teeth by touring and traveling the UK festival and club scene for the past 5 years. The band have made a name for themselves for their signature guitar work, powerful vocals and wild, visually entertaining live shows.
When asked about their new single, the band stated: “In such a lonely and disconnected Britain, ‘Dreams of You’ relates to how difficult isolation can be and how we all miss the connection of others. We’ve all experienced strange dreams during lockdown and sometimes our dream-state can actually be a very welcome escape from reality.”
Speaking of strange dreams, the seriously well produced music video for the single takes you in to a dream state that captures the juxtapositions of purity and evil, lightness and darkness. With some amazing costumes, makeup and special effects we bring to you ‘Dreams of You’ official music video:

Let down your hair and put on your dancing shoes for our next Artist Of The Week PointDexter! Pointdexter produces music that is an intellectual Pop-Indie-Rock-Funk-Fusion, which cradles your eardrums, vibrates the soul, violates your senses and leaves you with an astonishing lust for more.
Listen to their tune “Underneath My Skin”, here:
The band is led by front man Kevin Kinsella, he formed the band while attending college obtaining his Mechanical Engineering Degree. Kevin was taught music at the age of 10, he learned how to play the piano, saxophone, and sing. The band has always been greater the sum of its parts Jarom Horner, Kevin’s right hand man, is just as talented and passionate. Jarom and Kevin have a partnership that has led to them writing some amazing songs. Using a combination of combination of tasty guitar licks, inconceivable bass lines, sexy saxophone, funk rock vocals, and dynamic drum playing that is too good to pass up. Their goal is to produce songs that can engage a mass audience and at the same time produce songs with originality and artist integrity.
Pointdexter’s new EP is all about inspiration, determination, love, self-empowerment, and how those elements come in to your life and hit you like a Force of Nature. Hence, the title Forces of Nature. Just like forces of nature those elements tend to be unpredictable, unstoppable, and can show people what they are made of.
This concept EP is just an example of what Pointdexter means by intellectual Pop-Indie-Rock-Funk-Fusion. They are writing songs to inspire, reflect, and relate with others.
