London-based indie quartet False Futures are our Artist of the Week with their brand-new single ‘Under the Same Sun’, out today. Just ahead of their debut UK headline tour, the track shows why they’re quickly becoming one of the most exciting names in British indie.
Recorded in a tiny North London room, ‘Under the Same Sun’ blends angular guitars with raw, Northern-tinged vocals from frontman Mathew Conner.
Written years ago, during his first summer in London and finished after a spark of inspiration at Peckham Plex cinema, the track is a reflection on youth, ambition, and finding your place in the world.
