Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets make music for twenty-somethings living in a country that they feel completely ignores them. The indie up-and-comers have amassed over 170,000 streams on Spotify, secured support slots with fellow Irish acts NewDad and Milk, as well as embarking on their first Irish tour playing a number of sold-out headline shows. The 5-piece, who blend elements of jangle pop and alt-rock, take influence from artists such as The War on Drugs, Radiohead and The 1975. The band all met while at college in Limerick, Ireland, and use their music to delve into themes of loss, relationships and mental health. They have been quickly gaining recognition in the Irish music scene for their energetic live shows.

‘Life’ is their brilliant new single, an upbeat indie-rock anthem, that incorporates elements of Americana and jangle pop. The song’s swirling guitars and glistening synths are contrasted by its dark lyrics, which Flynn wrote about while struggling to leave the past behind.
