Artist of the Week is Daffodils
Our Artist of the Week is Daffodils!
This week, we’re thrilled to introduce you to Daffodils, the electrifying British garage skank skiffle 6-piece outfit based in London.
Daffodils emerged from the ashes of the 2020 lockdown in Lower Clapton and they’ve come a long way since their inception. Over the years, the band has seen several line-up transformations, but one thing has remained constant – their unwavering commitment to creating authentic garage rock-inspired music with a twist of their own.
With a chronic addiction to playing the most bombastic frequencies possible, Daffodils are notorious for their electrifying live shows. Headlining venues like The Windmill in Brixton, Blondies, and The George Tavern, this band knows how to pack rooms and shake the floor.
Daffodils burst onto the scene with their debut single, ‘Uh Huh.’ This sonic rollercoaster takes listeners on a journey into the theme of hypervigilance and the act of suppressing the feeling that the sky is falling down on you.

Drawing inspiration from musical legends like Pixies and Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, ‘Uh Huh‘ is a heartfelt homage to the early greats of rock ‘n’ roll, infused with a contemporary twist inspired by the 80’s garage rock revival scene.
Daffodils have multiple singles lined up for release, which are not only a reflection of the band’s personal experiences but also a commentary on the challenges of surviving in the demanding world of London’s living wage.
