Artist Of The Week: Gemma Vango

Artist Of The Week is the incredible Gemma Vango! The Essex singer/songwriter is a new independent artist. She has spent the last few years thinking about her creative approach and the type of music she wants to produce. Having studied Vocal Performance & Music Business at BIMM London, Gemma learned her craft from some of the industry’s best working musicians like Iain Mackenzie and Lisa Laudat.

Gemma’s debut single ‘Be You’, released back in October 2021, is an absolute banger and will really put a smile on your face.

Influenced by the sounds of Lucy Spraggan, Gabrielle Aplin & SOAK, ‘Home’ is a folk-infused pop track all about the concept of home being people, rather than a specific place. ‘Home’ is a relatable story of getting back to where we belong.

After the success of her debut single which pulled in over a thousand monthly listeners, over  three thousand streams on Spotify and several local radio plays, Gemma is hoping for much of the same and even more still with the release of ‘Home’. Having finally found her voice, Gemma is excited to release the second chapter in a book of releases across 2022. We’re excited to hear what Gemma has to share with the world!
