Artist Of The Week is The K’s
Our Artist Of The Week is The K’s!
This band very much believes the best way to let people see what you are all about is to get right in front of them! Luckily Warrington’s The K’s have finally managed to stay still long enough to record some new music. ‘Hoping Maybe’ is their brilliant new single, which starts by lulling us into a false sense of chill, but slowly and surely builds into the anthem the band has been threatening to release for some time. With a busy year ahead, this is the first of a 5-single plan for 2023 and we can’t wait to hear more. If last year was about laying the live foundations, this one is all about raising the roof with new music, culminating in a digital & physical album, and even a live album release by November.
Listen to their track, ‘Hoping Maybe‘, here:
After a ceaseless year of live shows, festivals and supports, taking in mainstage appearances at the likes of Leeds and Reading festivals, Isle of Wight and Kendal Calling, as well as a run of Spanish dates supporting Mancunian stalwarts James and Liam Gallagher, the 4-piece has bunkered down in a studio close to their Earlestown base and recorded the first brace of a raft of new releases for 2023. In the words of vocalist Jamie Boyle: “Out of the tracks I have written, I think ‘Hoping Maybe’ means the most to me. It adds another level of intimacy to our live show and there is something special in the way we connect with the crowd every single time we play it, and that is only gonna get better post-release”.
