Artist of the Week: Abi Farrell
Oxfordshire’s Abi Farrell was raised on a wide range of female-driven music from the likes of Aretha Franklin to Chaka Kahn and Eva Cassidy which led her to start writing her own songs at age 14, blending carefully crafted melodies with her rich, soulful vocals. Since moving to London in 2017, she’s graced the stages of such storied venues as Jazz Cafe, Spice of Life and The Camden Assembly.
Abi’s control and vibrato of her incredible vocal tone is truly stunning, so it’s no surprise she’s an in-demand independent artist, with lyrics that range from empowerment, independence and dealing with anxiety.
