Artist Of The Week: Hattie Whitehead

Easing us gently into 2019 is the soothing sounds of our first artist of the new year; Hattie Whitehead! This Richmond-born singer had music in her life from a young age, with her father being an acclaimed jazz saxophonist and composer, while her mother loving to sing and write poetry. Hattie started learning piano and flute, then moving on to voice lessons that saw her go on to read music at Leeds University.

Her silky-yet-soaring voice adds a richness to her music, highlighted beautifully in our chosen track “Ups and Downs”, an ode to her guitar. Check it out to hear this fantastic singer and songwriter do her thing!
